November 5, 2019 - All Day
MMSA will again gather methanol players from around the world in Singapore this November at the industry’s major internationally focused Asia-based methanol event. While the Asian region is dictating the fate of global methanol markets, sustainability of growth has come into question as new MTO facilities in China, along with geopolitical uncertainties resulting from the US – China tariff dispute are slowing methanol demand growth. Nevertheless, methanol pricing has fallen to levels which should eventually help develop applications that have driven growth (especially methanol-to-olefins and methanol in transportation fuels), and investment in production capacity will be needed to support this growth, possibly from North America, which finds itself sitting on price-advantaged raw material (natural gas) for methanol production. MMSA has designed the event to address the outlook for methanol markets from a broad array of perspectives.
