The U.S. EPA and the College of Engineering - Center for Environmental Research and Technology at the University of California - Riverside, have prepared this special report, The Hynol Process: A Promising Pathway for Renewable Production of Methanol. The report will introduce you to the research conducted on a bench-scale to produce methanol from biomass and the subsequent construction of a pilot-scale facility to take what was learned in the laboratory and apply it on a demonstration-scale.
