Scenario 3 includes the introduction of indirect methanol FCVs in the initial years, and then by 2015 the introduction of direct methanol FCV. To make the comparison between the alternative technologies, no mix between hydrogen and methanol FCVs is assumed. The future "solar methanol fuel" can perhaps be competitive before 2050, but it is not considered in this study.
